Before I get too far into the new year, I wanted to look back on some of the licensing opportunities that I had going on behind the scenes in 2024. In an age when AI and rip-offs lure with the appeal of a cheap shortcut, I’m grateful every time a company is willing to pay a human artist for original work. So here’s a little photo carousel summary: (Photos 1-3) McDonald’s—my Canadian-born oil painter great grandmother would be proud! I got to paint a series of pieces for the McDonald’s campaign at the Calgary Stampede this summer. (Photos 4-6) L.L.Bean—sheets, pajamas, flip flops, slippers. It is THE coolest feeling to open up a catalog and see my art. New this winter: Blueberry print percale and flannel sheets, and Daybreak Scuffs in gray lavender. (Photo 7) Trader Joe’s—I get messages from family and strangers saying they saw my work on a card at Trader Joe’s and knew exactly who the artist was. No higher compliment than having work unique enough to be recognized. (Photo 8) Werkshoppe—I got to collaborate on a Winter Village puzzle with added Christmas decorations and glitter effects, and was so excited to announce it to my collectors. But it sold out before I could 😂. Good news though: more puzzles to come. (Photo 9) World Market—I have enjoyed hearing from new collectors who found a piece in the store, and through that connection point discovered the larger catalog of art prints on my site.
