In 2018 we returned from living abroad in the UK, Sweden and California for over 6 years — I found myself a bit lost. All my friends moved to big cities so I needed to build my life back home again with two babies and a growing business. I thought - coming from a family of artist - let’s make new friends by trying new things. Interior is a great passion of mine and I felt the need to create objects for our new home. So I started a ceramic course… and clay became my new friend. I love the process of working with my hands and feel honored my objects are well received. Showcasing my work at the @houseofdagmar store in Stockholm was for instance definitely a pinch me moment. The city our son was born, leaving something tangible behind. To me that’s the beauty of clay: while we will fade over time, it’s powerful to know I leave something behind. Ah anyway- I can go on and on about this subject. That’s passion in its core 🤎 #ceramics

This is why you should consider custom made furniture.. 6 months ago @jovdesign asked if I would like to design a special rug for our living room. I drove to Gent, Belgium to meet the team boy I was excited. After approving the sample the rug arrived last week. We needed 3 man to carry the 120 (!) kg carpet. The reveal was so excited and scary: is it just as beautiful as in my head I asked myself out loud? Well it turned out to be even better. The higher border is giving the living space a framed, balanced and cozy feel. Just how I imagined it. Designing is about trusting your own taste and it’s massively rewarding. You can start small by going to a local cabinet maker, create something that isn’t on the market. Massive thanks to the JOV team who provided the best service along the way. as you might know I’m currently designing my ceramic atelier together with the talented team @woonpioniers who are specialized in bio based cabin architecture. After many sessions I’m so pleased the design is ready and we are soon entering a new phase. Let me share a few interiors that helped us shape our ideas. I’m obsessed with the idea of a wooden cabin. Now there is also a realistic side to this all. Wood is expensive and the cabin is small. We have to be mindful and creative, sky is definitely not the limit here but creativity can bring us a long way. Cannot wait to start sharing more.
