The Princess of Wales has just presented Liverpool-born designer @patrick__mcdowell with the Queen Elizabeth II Award for British Design. Past recipients have celebrated with a musical performance, but McDowell brought their studio with them instead, creating a special installation. “The most exciting bit for me is how the clothes are made,” they told Vogue ahead of the ceremony, “I wanted people to see the pattern-cutting and the craft, to watch us fitting the models.” Read more from the designer at the link in bio.
