Hong Kong and Hollywood actor Daniel Wu makes his return to the Bay Area.
Born in Berkeley and raised n the East Bay, he became a movies star in China as a martial arts action hero.
He has also starred in numerous Hollywood productions including Tomb Raider, Westworld, Love Hurts, Geostorm and American Born Chinese among others.
The Great Star Theater was built and open in San Francisco’s Chinatown in 1925 where it became known for its Chinese Operas and Kung Fu movies including many of the Bruce Lee films whose father also performed in the those early operas.
