Happy Mother’s Day, Mama! You’re the most extraordinary woman I know “a king, a queen, a warrior, a woman, a leader, a rebel; my mother, my teacher, my bestie, my partner, my inspiration” all in one. You worked so hard to make sure I could pursue my dreams, never let me give up (even when I tried to quit piano) and always believed in me. I remember all the Sundays you played Ella Fitzgerald, Dinah Washington and Bobby Caldwell on vinyl. And how you dragged me to Broadway shows and rehearsals all of which clearly inspired me, even if I didn’t realize it then. I tried to get away with everything as a teen, but you always caught me. You had to be strict to keep me safe, and I’m grateful now. Thank you for being my everything and my biggest fan, before anyone else! I love you so much, Mommy ❤️
