日本画🇯🇵♥️Nihonga. おとといは、日本の伝統的な日本画を体験しに訪れたよ~❗️ 日本画は、和紙•絹•岩絵具•墨•膠など自然の素材を使って表現をする日本独自のアートと言われているよ🤍 今回は智子先生に教えてもらいながら、カキツバタの花と日本の国蝶オオムラサキの蝶々達を描いたよ🦋 岩や石など自然から出来た粉を、にかわを足しながら丸めて100回くらいポンポン叩いて、また混ぜて、こねこねを繰り返して、最後は水を足して少しずつ薄めながら一つ一つの絵の具の色達を作り出したよ。 ベースに薄ーい茶色を塗ったら乾くまでまって、そしてまた薄く重ねて塗って…を何時間も繰り返すの。 岩絵具は透明感があるから何層にも重ね塗りをする必要があるんだって。 そして最後に主役となる青や緑の色達を上に乗せてあげて完成❕ この美しい鮮やかな色達が綺麗に乗る事ができているのは、陰で支えてくれる沢山の重ね塗り達のおかげなんだなって絵を描きながら思ったよ。。❗️ 今回はこの２つの作品を作るの約7時間かかったの❗️ 今回は早く乾かしたけれど、本来はひとつベースの色を重ねたら乾くまで1日寝かせて、またベースの色を重ねたら1日寝かせてを繰り返すやり方でもあるから実は何日もかかる作品でもあるんだって❗️ 描きながら人生を考えさせられるような素晴らしい経験ができたよ🥹✨ なんて美しいんだ。。日本の伝統美術。。。💭 Nihonga is a unique form of Japanese art that uses all-natural materials like washi (Japanese paper), silk, mineral pigments, sumi ink, and nikawa to create beautiful, delicate paintings. This time, under the guidance of Tomoko-sensei, I painted kakitsubata flowers (Japanese iris) and Japan’s national butterfly, the great purple emperor (Omurasaki) 🦋 To make the pigments, I started with natural stone powders, mixed them with nikawa, rolled them into a paste, and pounded them about 100 times—tap, tap, tap! Then, I mixed, kneaded, and blended them again and again, before gradually adding water to thin the colors little by little. It was such a meticulous process! For the base, I applied a super light brown wash, waited for it to dry, then added another layer… and another… and another. This went on for hours! Since mineral pigments are naturally translucent, they need to be layered over and over again to create depth and richness. And finally, I painted the stars of the show—those beautiful shades of blue and green—on top, and the piece was complete! As I worked, I couldn’t help but think… these vibrant colors only stand out because of all the layers underneath, quietly supporting them. It took me about 7 hours to finish these two pieces! The whole process made me reflect so much on life—it was such a beautiful, meditative experience.Traditional Japanese art is just… breathtaking☺️❤️
