2020 was arguably my best prep. Covid was like a hyperbolic time chamber. Everything was locked in and I had one goal, bodybuilding. It really showed me how much you can get out of something when all your energy is going into it. Not just success, but actually enjoying it, being present, thinking clearly, feeling creative. Life doesn’t always let you move like that. Like you’re in a vacuum. But for me, it is a reminder that more isn’t always better. Sometimes having too much on your plate just means you don’t get to fully enjoy any of it. So it’s important to figure out what really brings you passion and fulfillment, work toward putting as much of your energy into that as possible, and cutting out the rest.
