#MARIE_ART #화랑미술제 “오래된 건물은 개인이나 지역, 더 나아가서 나라의 정체성을 내포할 수 있다고 생각해요.” 추상민(@chew_s_m) 작가는 오래된 도시 공간의 풍경을 그리며 그 속에서 느껴지는 분위기를 극대화하여 캔버스에 그려냅니다. 어릴 적부터 아파트나 빌라처럼 밀집한 공간에서 자란 그는 획일적이고 규격화된 건축물이 사소한 변화를 띠는 것을 주의 깊게 바라봤는데요. 특히 단순히 외형의 그리는 것이 아닌, 그 속에 스며든 감정의 복합성을 담아내고 있죠. 국내 최장수 아트페어인 화랑미술제(@galleriesartfair)가 4월 16일 VIP 프리뷰를 시작으로 20일까지 5일간 서울 코엑스 A&B홀에서 열립니다. 역대 최대 규모로, 168개의 유수 갤러리와 함께 엄선된 작품을 선보일 예정인데요. 신진 작가 특별전 <ZOOM IN Edition 6>에 참여하는 작가 추상민이 전하는 작업 이야기를 지금 영상으로 먼저 만나 보세요.
