Losing the classic Bitmoji feels like losing a part of our identity. It wasn’t just a cute cartoon. It was a personal and charming reflection of ourselves. It had soul, warmth, and accuracy. The new 3D version feels robotic, inaccurate and impersonal; it doesn't feel like us. This isn’t just about an update, it’s about self-representation. Not everyone wants avatars for the metaverse. Snapchat is a communication app, not a VR platform. Stop pushing metaverse aesthetics on users who didn’t ask for it. You’ve removed something beloved and replaced it with something generic and unnatural. People have stopped sending Bitmoji stickers because 3D feels so off. That’s a loss of joyful, expressive communication. You’ve said the classic 2D style “can’t be restored,” but let’s be honest, it’s not a technical limitation, it’s a bad business decision. You allowed style choices before (like Bitstrips vs. Classic Bitmoji), so why not now? We’re not asking for much, just the ability to choose. If some prefer 3D, great! But many of us would gladly give up new 3D features just to keep what felt true to us. We’d even pay for the classic version, though we shouldn’t have to. For teachers, creatives, and everyday users, this has affected how we show up digitally. This is not how a digital communication app should be treating its users. Don’t erase our avatars. Don’t ignore the community that made Bitmoji thrive. Give us back the choice. #BringBackClassicBitmoji
