Magnum Photos
For decades, Magnum photographers have documented Italy in motion, capturing gestures and rituals that mark spontaneous moments within its layered past. The second installation of A World in Color, an ongoing project in partnership with Fujifilm and @mpatrimphoto to digitize Magnum’s color library archive in Paris, reveals images of Italy — an unwavering muse for Magnum since the agency’s creation — created between the 1950s and 1990s. In 1956, @leonardfreed arrived in Rome, the first of 45 trips he would take to the country in his lifetime. Images from his visits feature alongside @georgerodgerphotos in Venice, Dennis Stock in Assisi, @ferdinandosciannaofficial in Rome and six other Magnum photographers. 🔗 See the full selection in the article at the link in the @magnumphotos bio.
