From vision to reality. Last winter in the backcountry of Ilulissat, we set camp in the middle of a frozen fjord with one goal, to climb an iceberg. Something pretty much impossible during any other season due to the instability of icebergs in the open water. I’ve always wanted to do a shoot like this to truly get a sense of scale against these massive ice structures. Along with an all time crew @siggiworld, @rozlebregar and @jakobschytz, the dream shoot came to life. Siggi absolutely crushed the climb. I filmed this whole expedition but never finished the edit, I’ll drop a note here real soon once the film is live on YouTube!

Contrast reduction: As objects move farther away, the contrast between them and their background decreases. By intentionally adjusting exposure, color balance, and contrast, you can emphasize the changes in saturation, tone, and sharpness between foreground and background elements, enhancing the perception of depth and scale in your images. Additionally, weather conditions such as fog, mist, or haze can further intensify the effect of atmospheric perspective, creating a sense of mystery in your photography. These conditions can help isolate foreground elements, create layers of depth, and enhance the overall mood and visual impact of your work.
