Pupdate posted on @1510foundation! [EDIT: you all funded Shyna’s care in 27 minutes 🎉 and broke our website in the process! Link updated to help other dogs in need] This is Shyna. She was recovering after a routine spay surgery when she was let outside to go potty. Her foster found her in a corner of the yard with her intestines falling out of her spay incision. She’s been rushed to the emergency vet and is being prepped for surgery as we speak. We don’t know exactly what happened, but vets think she may have been allergic to the sutures so her body rejected them, leaving an opening in her abdomen. You can help save her by donating through the link in our bio ❤️‍🩹 Thank you to @heartsandbonesrescue for rescuing her. Follow @1510foundation for pupdates on Shyna and the rest of our fundraiser dogs 🤗

As a former vet tech who is now broke, I feel bad I can’t send money and I so desperately wish I was at that hospital. (My mind started racing! “I need to get about 10 liters of saline rinse in the warmer immediately, and make sure every suture and staple option we have on hand is available in the surgery suite…”)

Polar Bears International

What exactly is policy and what does it have to do with polar bears? And how can I, as a citizen, help influence leaders and bring about change? Alex Shahbazi breaks it down for us in an approachable way, link in bio ⬆️ 📷: © Kt Miller / polarbearsinternational.org #polarbear #polarbears #policy #wildlifeconservation #climateactionnow #climateaction #climatepolicy

Should bear cubs be slaughtered from a helicopter? That’s exactly what the Alaska Department of Fish & Game is trying to do—again. In 2023, 99 bears were slaughtered from helicopters. In 2024, another 80 were killed. Now they want to bring this aerial gunning program back for another one-month killing spree—shooting every bear they see, even mothers with cubs. This isn’t wildlife management. It’s a taxpayer-funded massacre with no sound science, and it’s happening in one of the wildest, most iconic regions of Alaska. As someone who has spent years guiding bear tours and telling their stories, I can’t stay silent. 🛑 Bears don’t have a voice—but we do. 📣 Submit your public comment before July 7 to stop this cruelty. 💬 Comment “save the bears” and I’ll DM you the link. It only takes 2 minutes—and you don’t need to be from Alaska to speak up. 🔁 Please share widely. ⸻ #SaveTheBears #StopAerialGunning #KatmaiNationalPark #KatmaiBears #BrownBear #GrizzlyBear #BearsOfInstagram #AlaskaWildlife #AlaskaNature #ExploreAlaska #WildAlaska #OnlyInAlaska #AlaskaAdventure #AlaskaTravel #BearWatching #BearGuidePerspective #BearPhotography #NatureConservation #WildlifeConservation #ProtectBears #WildlifeProtection #VoiceForTheVoiceless #natgeo #natgeowild #nationalgeographic #yourshotphotographer #wildlifephotography #ursus

Golden Retriever Life

Last stop on our Europe trip! Geneva, Switzerland🇨🇭 It was pretty hot, so we spent most of our time exploring in the early morning. Overall a fun city, but I’d probably come in the cooler months and budget a little more for food if I did it again. Protip: with @mydaytrip car transfers you can plan sight seeing stops! We split up the drive from Italy with a quick pit stop in Chamonix, France to see the end of the 90km Mont-Blanc marathon. 🏃‍♀️🏃 #goldenretrieverlife #dog #geneva #switzerland #chamonix #france #petfriendly #travel #europe #smile

This is Morrie. His family describes him as “a sensitive guy with really big feelings,” and holding his carrot brings him comfort. “From the minute he wakes up to when he goes to sleep he knows where his carrot is and needs to be within grabbing distance if not already in his mouth,” his family told us. He has plenty of spares, so he’s never without a carrot when one needs washing. 14/10 (follow @toosdayswithmorrie)

This is Pearl and her puppies: Ricky, Richmond, Racetrack, Roland, Roush, and Rusty. The whole family was picked up as strays and brought to a shelter, where unfortunately there was a huge outbreak of parvovirus. All of them were at risk of euthanasia due to the high cost of treatment for all seven of them. Thanks to your recent support of our ‘tell your dog i said hi’ merch, @1510foundation was able to commit to covering the entirety of their care, including antibodies, fluids, medication, and 24/7 monitoring. We’re thrilled to report they have all fully recovered, and have all found forever homes ❤️‍🩹
