Meet Lychee! This sweet girl has been stuck giving rides to tourists on her back for 40 years! They did not want me shooting footage of her giving rides to tourists, so we made a deal where I could shoot footage of her off to the side. As you can see in the footage, the man is holding a bullhook. Even saw them use it on her once. There’s just no need for that. She is the sweetest girl. The good news is that we have an amazing elephant rescue where we can bring her. At @followinggiants , she will roam free with other rescued elephants.
