Our public land is not for sale - call your local senators and tell them!
A plan to sell U.S. public lands is back in the ‘Big, Beautiful Bill’, which was previously removed due to public outcry & lawmaker opposition. This new proposal, as of June 11, would mean the National Forest Service (NFS) and Bureau of Land Management (BLM) has to select & sell between 2.2 million and 3.3 million acres of public land. Once sold, this land will never be ours again.
I personally zoomed in on the map of available land and SO many areas are spots I love to hike, bike, fish & camp 😔 In my opinion this is a bipartisan issue for anyone who loves the outdoors and wants to preserve it for future generations to enjoy. It doesn’t matter who you last voted for, this is something you should have a say about now.
CALL YOUR SENATORS! This is important no matter where you live, because every senator is required to vote. Yes, we need you east coasters to care about this! The vote is happening in just two weeks, so there isn’t much time to have your voice heard.
To quickly find your local senator’s phone number call 1-844-USA-0234 or head to www.senate.gov/states/statesmap.htm

“Hi, my name is [YOUR NAME]. I am a constituent from [CITY] and my zip code is [#####]. I am calling to urge Senator [LAST NAME] to vote NO on the Big, Beautiful Bill or any bill that includes selling our public lands. This bill threatens millions of acres of land that belong to all of us. Selling them off to the highest bidder is a betrayal of our heritage, our outdoor access, and future generations. Our public lands are not for profit. They support local economies, wildlife, and a healthy environment. Selling them would negatively impact our country’s future, and the future of our planet.”
