Photographier les gens de dos, c’est enlever la narration directe pour laisser place à la sensation. On projette, on imagine. Cela permet aussi une forme d’universalité : on n’identifie pas tout de suite une personne, mais plutôt un état, une posture, un moment de contemplation. Dans mon travail, le corps est souvent un vecteur de présence au monde, mais toujours dans une relation au paysage. Ici, c’est la mer qui devient miroir, partenaire silencieux. » // New exhibition on view from May 24 to June 28 at @faces_galerie « These are faceless portraits, yet deeply embodied. Photographing people from behind removes direct narration, allowing room for sensation. We project, we imagine. It also creates a sense of universality: we don’t immediately recognize a specific person, but rather a state, a posture, a moment of contemplation. In my work, the body is often a vessel of presence in the world — always in relation to the landscape.
