Nature Is Metal
Where’s His Body Gone? 📽 by @adamrender Unlike North America, where coyotes and wolves roam, England has no wild populations of either. The big bad wolf was eradicated here by the 18th century, and coyotes, native to North America, have never existed in the wild in Europe. In England, the red fox is the dominant wild canid, filling a role somewhat similar to coyotes in North America. Foxes are masters of adaptation, thriving in England’s woodlands, farmlands, and urban environments. Their keen senses - sharp hearing and night vision - allow them to hunt mammals, birds, and garbage bins with precision. So, that's my guess as to what relieved this mute swan of its pesky body. What a horrible way to go. In fear, running away, got stuck in a fence, trapped while being eaten alive.
