“The Artist is Present” by Marina Abramovic (2010) is a live art performance that involved spending 1 minute silently with a random stranger without showing any emotion. She did this for 8 hours a day for a month straight. During the performance, her former lover, Ulay, surprised her with a visit. The two artists hadn’t spoken to each other for 22 years. Two former lovers, silently gazing across a table; Ulay shaking his head in disbelief and Abramović blinking away tears before reaching for his hands. She wasn’t allowed to touch any of the guests, but she couldn’t help but break her own rule this one time. by @abramovicinstitute via @welcome.jpeg

Loved Everything of this Performance, and the fact that Ulay died in 2020 makes this moment much stronger.
