Fibroids are solid lumps of muscle—some the size of a watermelon—that grow inside the uterine wall. They can dramatically affect a woman’s quality of life and fertility. Lasting treatments are scarce, and scientists still have so many questions about them, including why they develop and what makes them grow. Learn about some recent advances, including a procedure that shrinks fibroids using radiofrequency energy, and certain lifestyle interventions that seem to minimize recurrence at the link in bio. I had one the size of a baby's head and had to have my uterus removed. Didn't even know what fibroids were at the time, the Drs just referred to it as a tumor which was really scary.

Research for women’s health issues is already grossly underfunded, and now it’s only going to get worse under the current administration 😢

We need to talk more about this health problem that affects so many women worldwide! I suffered for 2 years with constant hemorrhages because of a “small” one of the size of a lemon in my uterus - which affected not only my health but also my social life. Had 2 surgeries to fix it for good! However, many women don’t have access to treatment and live with those their whole lives.

Kaiser was a big no on radio frequency treatment. Sadly. Really keen on hysterectomy, pushed me on it, but I was not so keen on it. I finally got UAE. That option was quite helpful for me. No serious issues since.

It has been awhile since I’ve visited the epic Faroe Islands and there is still sooo much I haven’t seen! Here’s a collection of photos from the archipelago with a small person in the big epic vistas where light plays a significant part in the photo! I share all my knowledge about how to use light in landscape photography in my newly released and third ebook ‘Landscape Light’. It is 251 pages and covers the types of light, the light you can encounter all throughout the day, colour and the impact of post-processing are all themes I cover throughout the ebook. If you struggle with light in landscape photography, this ebook is for you! There is a link in my bio, happy learning 🤓
