Here’s what you need to know: ✔ Use hard, dry bamboo — yellow or slightly green is best. ❌ Avoid gray bamboo — it’s been waterlogged and wears out too fast. ✔ A bit damp? Just dry it in the sun or wipe it down. ✔ Start rubbing slowly — it helps warm the surface and push out moisture. ✔ Sharper edges = better friction. ✔ Save your energy — once you smell burning, that’s your cue to speed up and press harder. ✔ Smoke doesn’t mean fire yet — keep going! ⚠️ And don’t forget to prepare a tinder nest in advance — once the ember forms, gently place it inside to blow it into flame.
