Photo by @noahwetzel: "Jack Graham and Colin Whitehorse ride a steep line while freeride mountain biking within an OHV zone in Southern Utah. Action sports photography requires a lot of communication between the athlete and the photographer. After scouting this location the previous day, I knew that we had to be in position when the sun crested this ridgeline at sunrise. With the slope backlit, the dirt would light up and make the riders more visible within the frame, silhouetting them. Knowing the lead rider might kick up enough dirt to block the view of the tail rider, we had to space out the riders perfectly, also planning their staggered exits so that they would be able to avoid any rockfall that was kicked up and still rolling down the slope behind them. Wide angle lenses, like the RF16-28mm F2.8 IS STM, can be so beneficial for action sports photography, as it gives you many different composition opportunities. Utilizing foreground features such as large boulders to frame the shot, showcasing the landscape features, guiding the viewers eye to work from left to right within the image, or creating a unique perspective while shooting underneath the athletes to showcase scale and magnitude of a certain feature they are airing or riding." 📸 #Canon EOS R6 Mark II Lens: RF16-28mm F2.8 IS STM

The Sony Alpha 7R V always understands the assignment 📝 Fast moving subjects ✅ High-resolution ✅ fine details ✅ Capture your campaigns effortlessly like @matt.pearsonn did here with the Sony Alpha 7R V + 16-35mm GM II + 70-200mm GM II. “This setup is my go-to for commercial work. “The Wanaka Tree is no doubt an iconic spot — one of those places most photographers dream of shooting, even knowing it’s been captured a thousand times before. I’d already been there three times that week, each time hoping for something magic, but wasn’t super stoked on anything I had captured. On the fourth morning, everything changed. The sky lit up in a way I’ve never seen — soft pinks blending into deep blues, the kind of color that transforms an entire landscape. I stood there in disbelief at what I was seeing, almost forgetting to compose an image.” - @j_kreiss 👏👏 This is what it’s all about. Captured with Sony Alpha 7 III + 24-70mm F2.8 G Master. 1/3sec | F8 | ISO 200 | 43mm. #SonyAlpha
