A new 3D simulation of the Titanic finally answers the question of whether the ship would have survived if it had hit the iceberg head on. #TitanicTheDigitalResurrection is now streaming on @DisneyPlus and @hulu.

So if the crash was different, things could have ended different. That’s not a revelation really.

90% of the crew including the captain would’ve been dead though because their quarters were in the front of the ship. there would’ve been next to no one qualified to pilot the ship; even if some of 3rd class passengers had experience working on merchant ships, I doubt the snooty 1st class passengers would’ve let them have that responsibility even in an emergency. best option would be to hope the telegraph operators didn’t die or at least someone who knows Morse code, and they could still send an SOS to the RMS Carpathia

Small holes the size of 2 pieces of paper literally cost 1500 lives. Sad when you think about how somethings happen.

I don't understand the renewed interest in the Titanic. I've seen several unwanted ads for Titanic shit. Let's just leave those people alone to rest in peace, eh? Can we do that?

BEAUTIFUL DESTINATIONS

Wow. It’s finally happening :) Over ten years ago, when we started our Instagram account, there was no such thing as a “creator”, social media was early and the travel industry for many years after did not take me or BD seriously. Now, thanks to all of you, that’s very different. Tens of millions of people globally follow our channels (I still find this so crazy!) hundreds of creators build exciting careers with us- doing what they love & expressing themselves whilst traveling, and the travel industry is partnering with us in a massive way. Beautiful Destinations has become a fantastic business, profitable and growing fast, leading content innovation and marketing in our industry. We’re very proud of that. But we’re just getting started :) With our partners @visit.dubai we are building something truly special, the world’s first creator training program in partnership with an official Tourism board, ‘The Beautiful Destinations Academy, Powered by Dubai’ and we’d love you to be involved. Do you have the skills or interest to be a mentor at the BD Academy? (we move you to Dubai and pay you!) Do you have friends who could apply to be part of the program? Do you have ideas for how we could get the word out more? Or ideas about anything else? I’m all ears! We want to raise the game again in travel so please get in touch if you’d like to join us. Thanks J #BDAcademy #VisitDubai #MyDubai
