When Nicole Kidman needs to recharge, she looks to Sydney, her hometown. “Every time I return to Sydney, there’s a feeling of comfort and ease,” said @nicolekidman , who stars in the Hulu drama “Nine Perfect Strangers,” which releases its Season 2 finale on Wednesday. Although born in the U.S., Kidman was raised in Australia and began her acting career there when she was 16. Her Sydney is a city packed with natural beauty, endless vistas and a deep appreciation for art. And like anyone who loves their hometown, she had a hard time picking favorites. Swipe through for her top five favorite places and read more about them at the link in our bio. Photos by Rachel Kara Ashton.

As a native Sydneysider, these are VERY beige recommendations. This actually feels quite out of touch, which is surprising as her sister still lives in Sydney. Also just noting that all of these recommendations are within 5km of the city centre and are like the "best if" for the average tourist.

That’s a very dull version of Sydney. As a local I can tell you there’s much more exciting things to do, though the Gallery is great

I wouldn’t be taking advice from Nicole Kidman on anything. Unless you’re a multi-millionaire with champagne taste..
