Bunions have plagued human toes since ancient times. The foot deformity may affect up to a quarter of the modern adult population. But why do we get them in the first place—and why haven't we figured out how they're caused or cured without surgery? Head to the link in bio for how our feet developed one of their most common woes—and what you can do to ease the pain. Photograph by Zephyr/Science Photo Library

I have bunions from the Charolette Russe heels I used to wear to the club in my 20’s.

I read the article. Strangely you interview only one doctor, who boasts in succesful surgeries. Quite a few other doctors warn from those surgeries, because their outcome is not certain. This is not responsible journalism in my opinion :)

It does seem to be people with longer feet and toes. I have very small feet with short toes and have very straight toes. Is there a correlation to digit length?

It has been awhile since I’ve visited the epic Faroe Islands and there is still sooo much I haven’t seen! Here’s a collection of photos from the archipelago with a small person in the big epic vistas where light plays a significant part in the photo! I share all my knowledge about how to use light in landscape photography in my newly released and third ebook ‘Landscape Light’. It is 251 pages and covers the types of light, the light you can encounter all throughout the day, colour and the impact of post-processing are all themes I cover throughout the ebook. If you struggle with light in landscape photography, this ebook is for you! There is a link in my bio, happy learning 🤓
