National Geographic
Photographer Yuta Shigeno documented this artificial reef, which was sunk in the 1960s off the coast of Japan’s Kii Peninsula, in an area where cooler waters fostered a distinctly colorful ecosystem along the seafloor. “What was once lifeless concrete is now transformed into a vibrant garden of soft corals. It leaves me in awe of nature's resilience and quiet strength,” says Shigeno. Photograph by Yuta Shigeno (@yuta3822)

It has been awhile since I’ve visited the epic Faroe Islands and there is still sooo much I haven’t seen! Here’s a collection of photos from the archipelago with a small person in the big epic vistas where light plays a significant part in the photo! I share all my knowledge about how to use light in landscape photography in my newly released and third ebook ‘Landscape Light’. It is 251 pages and covers the types of light, the light you can encounter all throughout the day, colour and the impact of post-processing are all themes I cover throughout the ebook. If you struggle with light in landscape photography, this ebook is for you! There is a link in my bio, happy learning 🤓
