The Chiesa di Sant’Ignazio is a stunning Baroque church in Rome, built in the 17th century and dedicated to Saint Ignatius of Loyola, founder of the Jesuit order. Initially designed by Carlo Maderno and later completed by Orazio Grassi, the church is best known for Andrea Pozzo’s breathtaking ceiling fresco, which masterfully creates the illusion of a vast dome overhead.
