I’ve been photographing these trees over the past years and they’re incredible for both sunrise and during a morning with fog or even in gorgeous moody conditions. Sometimes these trees are actually located just outside my room on the accommodation that we use! This year we photographed them both during foggy mornings and a morning where we aligned the sunrise with the trees. Alignments are actually one of the easiest ways to make interesting compositions - one of the compositions techniques I cover in my latest video on YouTube. How to Make a Forest Trap in Minutes 🌿🪤 This is a fast and simple trap made entirely from sticks and string — it’s a classic bushcraft trick used in real survival situations. Traditionally, traps like this were designed for small birds like pigeons or quails. But if you build it larger and sturdier, you could potentially catch bigger game like a pheasant or even a grouse. Still, let me be very clear: this is not for fun or casual use. I’m sharing it as a survival skill — something that could help you if you ever find yourself truly lost, hungry, and without options. 🏕️ The straighter the sticks, the better the result — but even with twisted or uneven ones, it works great if you tie it tight. If your trap turns out too light, tie a stone on top to increase the weight and ensure it doesn’t collapse too early. The trigger is very sensitive and reacts even to small movements. You can use seeds, crumbs, or any bait you have on hand. This is a humane trap — the animal stays unharmed, and you can always release it.
