Lonely Planet has sold 150 million printed guides advising budget travelers on where to go, stay and eat in destinations ranging from Scandinavia to South Africa. The company has now published its first stand-alone guide for LGBTQ travelers. We spoke with Alicia Valenski, who wrote “The LGBTQ+ Travel Guide,” which unlike the usual guides, explores destinations like Brooklyn, Berlin and Puerto Vallarta, Mexico, entirely through local voices. Great that this is being told from perspective local voices rather than the cookie-cutter gay travel content creators we find on here.

Nice. But what we want back is @lonelyplanet’s old guides! The new format is awful and no longer works for true travelers.

Finding my very own Palouse landscapes in Denmark! 😁 Back in the days I always felt that Denmark was boring to photograph because of all the fields. Now I embrace them! When I learned how to approach them and get good photographs in these types of landscapes it suddenly went from something that held me back to a feature! One technique is to benefit from dappled light. Something I talk much more about in my ebook all about light in landscape photography (get it via the link in my bio). Dappled light is just incredible as it literally paints the landscapes with light and adds both depth and dimension!
