Which cities will still be livable in a world altered by climate change? These northern U.S. communities may be well-placed to meet the needs of an influx of climate migrants as deadly wildfires, flash floods, record heat, and damaging hurricanes increasingly affect day-to-day life in the U.S. Learn more about what makes these cities “climate havens” at the link in bio. There’s no such thing as a climate refuge in a country who’s government doesn’t not only “not believe in climate change” but actively seeks to encourage it due to their greed, ignorance, and spitefulness.

There is no haven from climate change.

When the politicians stop buying waterfront properties then start worrying about climate change

stop overdevelopment - in Florida new construction homes sit empty while more land is cleared to build more houses Maybe that would help “climate change”

Livable for how long? It's absurd to think you can escape global ecological collapse by moving. A much slower natural release of greenhouse gas millions of years ago resulted in the extinction of 90% of all life on earth. Moving to Minnesota is not going to save you or your kids from that. You will only be delaying the inevitable. The people who are destroying or planet need to be confronted and defeated that is the only way

Nat Geo has long been known as a global magazine. With ‘world’ in its branding and reputation, I expected broader international coverage. So I was surprised to open this article and find it focused solely on U.S. cities.

Wasn't Asheville, NC a "climate haven," until it catastrophically wasn't?

I was so incredibly lucky to get a bit of low morning fog during the pre-sunrise blue hour when I visited Omø to photograph the lighthouse. I absolutely love the calmness in these photos, which of course makes them less likely to be liked on Instagram, but some of them are definitely gonna make it to my favourite photos of the year book. If you wanna learn more about light, golden hour, blue hour, midday light, night light and much more be sure to get my ebook ‘Landscape Light’ it’s easy to read and has tons of examples and EXIF data. There’s a link in my bio. Happy learning 🤓
