London often winds up on lists of the world’s most expensive cities, and there are many ways to splurge in the city. But our Frugal Traveler columnist @eglusac wondered: Would chasing bargains there lessen, or enhance, her experience? She stayed in three neighborhoods, one central and two more outlying, to assess what’s gained and lost by chasing bargains. A combination of free art, attractions and £4 lunches, with some minor splurges on entertainment, kept her expenses to about $200 a day. Tap the link in our bio to see how she did it. Does the $200 include the hotel room per day? If so! In which hotel was Elaine staying?

London does not have to be expensive if you stay at a fairly priced hotel, for example the Ibis in Canning Town, which was comfortable, lovely and the easiest, quickest “commute” (hardly) plus make use of the plethora of food markets and all the free museums.

Love that you found @thedustyknuckle — some of the best bread in London imo, and the Cabbies Shelter but tipping is standard in restaurants!! (Just not bars, coffee shops etc.)

Tuscany is without a doubt one of the prettiest regions on the planet. I absolutely love the soft landscapes and the general attention to aesthetics that the locals have! Whether you photograph on a foggy morning, during a burning sunset, a day with heavy rain showers and dabbled light or during night, Tuscany is one of my favourite places to go for landscape photography! And if you struggle with using light to to your benefit in landscape photography I share all my knowledge about it in my ebook ‘Landscape Light’. It is 251 pages and covers the types of light, the light you can encounter all throughout the day, colour and the impact of post-processing are all themes I cover throughout the ebook.I have even added extended EXIF data to all the photos throughout the ebook so you can really get an understanding of what I’m doing. If you struggle with light in landscape photography, this ebook is for you! There is a link in my bio, happy learning 🤓
