Nature Is Metal
Coming Right Up 📽 by @wallace_untamed This green anaconda killed an ate a local dog, which it promptly refunds at the first sign of danger The primary objective of regurgitation is to increase mobility and escape potential peril. When an anaconda consumes a large meal, its body becomes heavy and sluggish, as digestion demands significant energy and can take days or even weeks. This 5-meter green anaconda, which can weigh up to 200 pounds, may struggle to move quickly after swallowing a sizable animal, making it vulnerable to threats. Regurgitation allows the snake to shed the weight of the prey, enabling faster movement to flee or hide. For example, studies show anacondas can stay submerged for up to 10 minutes, but a full stomach hinders their ability to dive or swim effectively. This behavior, while energetically costly, is a survival tactic, as the snake prioritizes escape over keeping their food down. Regurgitation can also occur due to stress or improper conditions, like extreme heat, which disrupts digestion, but in this case, it’s likely a strategic move to evade a perceived threat, such as the person filming. Thanks to @wallace_untamed and team, this anaconda was relocated somewhere far away from this city, much to the joy of the local canine population - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - Nature Is Metal is powered by you! I love this tree and I love coming back to it in different conditions throughout the seasons. There is always a shot, also in moody overcast conditions. I share all my knowledge about how to use overcast and moody light in landscape photography in my third ebook ‘Landscape Light’. It is 251 pages and covers the types of light, the light you can encounter all throughout the day, colour and the impact of post-processing are all themes I cover throughout the ebook. If you struggle with light in landscape photography, this ebook is for you! There is a link in my bio, happy learning 🤓
