Between a global trade war and tourists being detained at the border, signals from the U.S. have been anything but inviting to potential visitors. Many news outlets have reported extraordinary declines in international travel to the U.S. But what does the data show? Here's a closer look. Read more at the link in our bio.

I think we need to wait a bit if these are current arrivals. Most people plan their travel months out.

The Canada travel loss will hurt Florida and Arizona very badly.

Most regular people book their trip months in advance. So a lot of the travel was already booked before the new policies started. It will be interesting to see what the next holiday season will look like, as many book before summer.

If you look at it from country to country: e.g. tourists from Germany are down nearly 30% compared to last year

Canada is rapidly reshaping its aviation ties with the US as declining travel demand, rising diplomatic tensions, and shifting consumer preferences drive major airlines—Air Canada, WestJet, Porter, and Flair—to slash routes to key U.S. cities including San Francisco, Miami, New York, and Washington. With a significant drop in both leisure and business travel from Canada to the U.S., carriers are now reallocating capacity toward Europe, where demand remains strong and political conditions are more favorable.

Lol 1.5%... USA will be fine. Not too much change there. Liberals tend to be louder online so it looks much worse than it actually is. Trump is sitting at a healthy 44% approval rating right now despite all the hate against him online

Give it time. The real pain is going to be felt with global conferences (across pretty much every industry) choosing where to host. Recent ones couldn't rebook, but all future planning is being effected. Hotel workers are dreading it.

NYT is totally skewed towards the right.

No. It collapsed over the COVID response. Now it’s fine.

Interesting data. Our little island has limited space so perhaps some of the changing dynamics will allow for different people to come enjoy this haven. 🦞

Agreed. Look at it by country. And not all countries but the top 10 visitors. Then you’ll develop your headline.

The blue hour also known as twilight is famous for the soft blue light and purple hues. For landscape photography it’s amazing, but when you combine it with artificial light from buildings or light trails from cars it’s superb! Here’s a huge collection of blue hour photos I’ve taken over the years. In my newly released ebook all about light in landscape photography, I have an entire chapter about the blue hour and how to benefit from the light at that time of the day. The ebook is 251 pages making it my most comprehensive ebook to date! The minimal text and tons of examples makes it easy to read though! Not to mention I have added extensive Exif data to all the photos! If you still haven’t got it there is a link in my bio. Happy learning 🤓 Also, again, I must say a massive thank you to all who have already got my new ebook. Thank you! 🙏
