Wonderful Places
Visiting a Maasai Boma is like stepping into a living museum of tradition, resilience, and deep cultural pride. These traditional homesteads are made from a mix of mud, sticks, grass, and cow dung—designed to be strong, sustainable, and protective against wildlife. Each Boma is a small, enclosed village where families live, children play, and stories are passed down around the fire. 🪵✨ Here’s what makes a Maasai Boma truly special: 🔸 Circular layout designed for protection from wild animals 🔸 Built by Maasai women, showcasing strength and skill 🔸 Houses are small but functional—warm at night, cool by day 🔸 Center of community life, ceremonies, and cattle care A visit to the Boma isn’t just about what you see—it’s about what you feel: a deep connection to the land, people, and a way of life that’s stood the test of time. 📍 Add this cultural experience to your safari—it’s unforgettable. 📸 @travelingwithsue @wonderful_places #MaasaiBoma #CulturalSafari #GetTogetherAdventures #TanzaniaUnplugged #MaasaiCulture #AuthenticExperiences #EastAfricaHeritage #TravelDeeper #TraditionAndPride #LivingCulture

Finding my very own Palouse landscapes in Denmark! 😁 Back in the days I always felt that Denmark was boring to photograph because of all the fields. Now I embrace them! When I learned how to approach them and get good photographs in these types of landscapes it suddenly went from something that held me back to a feature! One technique is to benefit from dappled light. Something I talk much more about in my ebook all about light in landscape photography (get it via the link in my bio). Dappled light is just incredible as it literally paints the landscapes with light and adds both depth and dimension!
