How to Light WET Matches Without a Striker! 🔥🌧️ Ever wondered how to start a fire if your matches got soaked? Here’s how I lit both stormproof matches and regular ones — no striker needed: 1️⃣ Stormproof matches: When the striker is too wet to work, just rub two matches together — the friction dries and ignites them. Simple but effective. 2️⃣ Regular matches: Scrape off 3–4 wet heads into a notch in wood. Cover with tinder and compress with a stick. Start slow to compress — then rub fast! Heat + friction = 🔥 💡 Bonus tip: The tinder keeps match heads tight and helps absorb moisture. 🌧️ Rain or not — always test your gear. Fire can save your life in the wild. #camping #survival #bushcraft #outdoors

Mads Peter Iversen Photography
Since last summer I’ve wanted to reshoot this composition with leaves on the tree in dramatic light with heavy clouds in the sky. I got the chance a couple of weeks back. Which one is your favorite? 🤔 I show the process of photographing these photos from a 1st person perspective in my latest video, so if that’s of interest check it out. And if you struggle with using moody light to your benefit definitely get my ebook on light in landscape photography. With 251 pages, minimal text and tons of examples with extended EXIF data it’s easy to read and I make sure to get to the point fast. There’s a link in my bio. Enjoy your Friday! 😁
